Hardened rubber bungs and plugs are used to seal the bottle, tube, barrel containing liquids or gases and are widely applicable in laboratory, commercial and industrial applications. They are usually manufactured in different hardness from shore A30-A80 with the aid of premium-grade rubber compounds. Such compounds include Nitrile, EPDM, Silicone, SBR, Neoprene, and Viton. There might be a hole or two hollow hardened rubber bungs specially used with laboratory glass to collect the reaction result.
Silicone hardened rubber bung is more popular and ideal for applications that require a high degree of purity, such as biological or food containers. Such bung is made of high-quality Silicone, FDA approved. It can resist a wide range of chemical fluids and withstand extreme temperatures ranging from -60 °C to 200 °C. The Silicone hardened rubber bung has a wide range of colours from black, white, brown, grey, and transparent.
