Accordion tubing
As we all know, PVC or other types of plastic are limited in how much flexing stress they can endure. We have all noticed how PVC tubes used in plumbing can easily break or even shatter when trying to move them or adjust them. Thankfully, accordion tubing exists which makes things so much easier for everyone working with plumbing or anyone that requires a flexible tubehose. Of course, there is always the option of going with regular rubber tubes, but they aren’t as flexible or durable. Several materials can benefit from an accordion-like shape. Like we mentioned previously, PVC or other kinds of plastics have a high chance of breaking or shattering. However, once we create a PVC tube that is made in the shape of an accordion’s bellows, the tube’s flexibility is considerably better.
The same can be said for rubber. We know that rubber can be very durable, but after long exposure to outside elements, such as UV rays, heat or cold, its flexibility and durability can drop considerably. By replacing your regular hosetube with rubber accordion tubing, you won’t have to worry about it tearing for a long time. Not only will it last longer against outside elements, but it is also handles vibrations extremely well. Because of this, a lot of vibratory equipment and machines use accordion tubing to reduce those vibrations so they are of easier use to operators and for the machine’s parts to have a longer shelf life. Additionally, accordion tubing is very popular in the medical industry because they are the best fit for respirators or any other similar medical machines. The chances that the tube would break and leak are very low which is what a lot of hospitals are looking for. These tubings are also easily disposable and reusable.
