Colored silicone tubing

The formulation and finished dimensions determine whether a tube is suitable for its medium, pressure and temperature. Check those requirements independently of the chosen pigment. If contents must be visible, assess the opacity as well as the shade, since an opaque colored wall can make visual inspection of the flow difficult.
A silicone tube is not automatically sterile or antibacterial. Cleaning and any required sterilization must suit the selected product and use. For food-contact service, evaluate the complete formulation, including its colorants, under the intended contact conditions rather than relying on the silicone name.
