Flexible heat transfer tubing silicone
Flexible silicone tubing can connect components in a liquid heating or cooling circuit when the selected tube is compatible with the circulating fluid. The tube carries the fluid between components; cooling performance also depends on the flow, heat exchanger and overall system design.
Specify the fluid temperature and pressure at the tube, including start-up and shutdown conditions. Choose the silicone compound, wall and any reinforcement for those combined conditions. A high-temperature material description does not establish a working temperature for every finished hose or fitting.
Plan bends and supports so that the line does not kink, rub against hot or moving parts, or place excessive load on its connections. A closed two-phase heat pipe uses a different heat-transfer arrangement and should not be confused with an ordinary flexible fluid hose. Define the intended cooling circuit before selecting the tubing.
