Flexible rubber hoses

Flexible rubber hoses can be made of natural or synthetic rubber. Their common characteristic is that they are cylindrical, completely hollow inside, to perform their primary purpose. They are produced in different sizes, hardnesses and from different materials. They are most often used for fluid flow, they are quite flexible and elastic.

Since it is a tire, you must take into account its basic characteristics. Rubber can stretch much more than some other materials, so the possibility of deformation is minimal. This flexible and very strong material gives these hoses great resistance to tearing or bending. The rubber is quite resistant to heat, so these flexible rubber hoses can be used even in non-standard temperature conditions. A very large number of different types of rubber has conditioned the creation of a large number of these rubber tubes, as well as different ways of their production. Each type of flexible rubber hose has its own unique and specialized purpose. There’s two type of flexible rubber hoses. Natural flexible rubber tube, as its name suggests, is made of natural materials (letex, polyisoprene). These tires have a slightly higher elasticity than synthetic ones, and the characteristic feature of them is that they are highly hygienic (sterile). Precisely because of this property, they are most often used in the pharmaceutical and food industries, but also in medicine (hoses to help patients breathe and intubate).

Synthetic pipes, are characterized by high resistance to wear, but also to substances that natural materials cannot withstand, including oily liquids. Therefore, these hoses are more suitable for the transfer of chemicals, fuels and oils.

Flexible rubber hoses, whether made of natural or synthetic rubber, are very widely represented in various industries. In addition to the pharmaceutical and food industries, which we have already mentioned, these hoses are used in the automotive, agricultural, aerospace, marine and many other industries. Certainly, these hoses are irreplaceable in the household, and their most common application is in the yard, when irrigating the garden. These hoses are very long-lasting, and their lifespan depends on the way they are maintained.
