Pressure rubber tubing
Pressure rubber tubing consists of high-pressure hoses specially designed for high-pressure use-case scenarios. These products are one of the most popular ones, in various industries, because they are built tough, and they are built to last. Pressure rubber tubing is probably one of the most important parts of a modern piece of machinery when we talk about hydraulic systems, and industries that rely on machinery like that. These tubes are being used for all hydraulic systems, whether it be emulsions, oils, fats, or other liquids being delivered, transported, or supplied under high pressure.
What makes pressure rubber tubing special is that they are made from different materials utilizing different build and engineering technologies, depending on the designed application for the tube being manufactured. Once you take into account the level of applied pressure, weather and temperature conditions, and the liquids being transported, it is easy to realize why there are several different types of these tubes. For instance, steel wire reinforced pressure rubber tubing is made from high-quality, durable synthetic rubber and some kind of steel wire of fibre for reinforcement. How it’s usually done is we have an inner and outer layer made out of rubber, with steel wire reinforcements right in the middle. Tubing like this can withstand a lot of pressure and wear and tear, making it more than suitable for a wide range of applications.
Aside from being resilient to high pressure, pressure rubber tubing is also very resistant to tears and breaks, abrasion, corrosion, high and low temperatures, ageing, weather, moisture, dust, and a whole myriad of other things commonly found in an industrial setting. Additionally, as any other tubing, pressure rubber tubing is also available in plethora of sizes, although because of their primary use, you will rarely find tubing like this with a small inner diameter.

Discuss Your RequirementsProduct specifications
- Product form
- Hollow elastomer tubing for a fitted line or sleeve
- Application focus
- Cable sleeving and industrial fluid lines. Size the part against the selected assembly.
- Dimensions to confirm
- Inside diameter, outside diameter, wall thickness and cut length. Match these to cable sleeving.
- Pressure duty
- Define working pressure, surge pressure and the complete hose-and-fitting test conditions.
- Contact conditions
- Hydraulic fluid and lubricating oil: define concentration, temperature and contact time, then check compatibility with the chosen compound.
- Exposure to evaluate
- Heat and cold cycling, outdoor weather, moisture, dust or debris and rubbing or abrasion. Validate the selected material under the combined conditions.
- Line layout
- Check bend radius, unsupported spans and clearance at both connections.
