The first one is called the Mandrel process. When it comes to this one, the rubber used for the production of tubing is delivered in the roles of stripes. The thickness and color of the stripes determine these features of the final item. The next step is to run the rubber stripes through the process of milling, which will make the rubber smooth and soft. Furthermore, it is time to cut it into equal pieces. The size of these depends on the dimensions of the rubber hose tubing that will be the final product. Now, it is time to use the mandrel. The material is wrapped around this tool. Naturally, the size of the mandrel depends on the diameter of the tubing, meaning that different items are used depending on the tubing being manufactured. The other technique is called the Extrusion method. Items created with this technique are softer and easily adjusted. The main tool used during this process is called the extruder feeder. Clearly, the first step is to put the material into this piece of equipment. When it leaves, it is placed on screws that transport it to the die. In this case, the die determines the diameter of the rubber hose tubing. The final step is for the tubing to go through the process of vulcanization. It includes sulfur treatment that hardens it, although nowadays, different treatments can be used.
