To top it all, they’re as much as four times as tall as the largest cap nuts so that they guard more threads. Sanitary low-profile cap nuts are some other type of rubber thread protector caps. These cap nuts are beneficial within the food processing industry. They snug into tight areas to cowl and seal exposed threads. They’re fabricated from silicone rubber and 316 stainless steel. They don’t have horizontal surfaces, so liquids and particles will drain off without leaving a hint. Plus, the silicone seal at the base keeps the threads safe from contaminants. It also eliminates possibilities of unsanitary steel-to-metallic contact.
