White silicone rubber stoppers
The white silicone rubber stoppers are usually conical or tapered in shape and are perfect for common fermentation airlocks. They also find their use in many glassware industries and laboratories across the globe to seal off the openings of test tubes, vials, vessels, containers, flasks, pitchers, and many other receptacles. Stoppers made of other materials are available on the market as well, but the white silicone rubber stoppers are usually desirable because of their eminent properties such as being temperature resistant (can withstand 200°C or 392°F), abrasion resistant, chemical resistant, waterproof, humidity buildup resistant, anti aging attributes, and imperviousness to UV damage.
The principal function of white silicone rubber stoppers is to cover and seal off holes or openings. Worldwide, in labs and workrooms, these silicone stoppers are used for many purposes, including obstructing a gaseous or aqueous chemical from sneaking away from its vessel while conducting scientific experiments. Besides, the white silicone rubber stoppers are also used to prevent the contamination of chemicals in laboratories by air exposure and oxidation. They’re also used in mixing, blending, shaking, compounding the contents of a vessel by keeping the upper opening sealed so as to restrict spillage or leakage.
White silicone rubber stoppers are more often than not manufactured in a tapered or cylindrical shape having a conical surface at the bottom. Their receding edges allow for the ease of insertion and given their elasticity, they can compress a bit and result in a snug fit. This firm and snug fit seals off the containers tightly, but given the soft texture of silicone, it comes out with one pull regardless, making silicone rubber stoppers efficient and effortless for both inserting into and removing from containers. To add to that, the silicone rubber stoppers may come with a hole or two in them to allow the inclusion of measuring tools such as a thermometer, thermostat, pipette, etc.

Stopper & Plug Size Catalog
Compare four stopper profiles and check the selected part dimensions against your opening and available depth. Each profile has its own drawing and dimension meanings.
Custom colors are available to your Pantone color code. Include the code in your inquiry.
RST T-Shaped Plugs
Match stem diameter A, flange diameter B, stem length C and flange thickness D. E refers to the underside recess; use the selected row and approved drawing to confirm the actual profile.

RSA Tapered Corks
Compare large-end diameter A, small-end diameter B and Height, in mm. The mating bore and required seating depth determine where the taper contacts the opening.

RSB Undercut Plugs
Compare neck diameter A, flange diameter B, flange-to-lip distance C and flange thickness D. Check panel thickness and rear clearance. E refers to the underside recess.

RSD T-Shaped Stoppers
Compare stem diameter A, flange diameter B, stem length C and head thickness D, in mm. Check the seating surface and available depth as well as the hole diameter.
