If you think that rubber plugs are just tiny parts that we can use for simple sealing – you are wrong. Today, rubber stoppers are no longer made of ordinary rubber – but materials that are representing a combination of rubber and other polymers. Why use other polymers? Namely, the glass bottle butyl rubber stopper is primarily reliable due to its properties such as chemical stability – but also its impermeability and resistance to high levels of heat.

A glass bottle butyl rubber stopper provides, above all, impermeability as well as good biological and chemical compatibility with other substances contained in bottles – such as drugs and infusions. That way, it will not cause any biological or chemical reactions that could affect the content or efficacy of the drugs inside the infusion or medication bottle. For special production needs, especially in the pharmaceutical industry – there is an additional safety method. Then, during production, the glass bottle butyl rubber stopper is coated with a layer of inert soft coating – that will prevent the content of the bottle from penetrating the rubber stopper. That way, a glass bottle butyl rubber stopper will ensure the long-term stability of the infusion liquid or drug in the bottle.
