Use the curved face as the contact surface
This hemispherical bumper has a central fixing passage and a recessed opening on its curved side. Plan where the moving part will contact the rubber and where the fixing head will sit.
01 / BEFORE YOU CHOOSE
What to measure for this profile
- Body OD and height H
- Check the mounting footprint and the stand-off available before the moving part reaches surrounding hardware.
- Passage A and recess B
- Compare the fastener shank and head with their respective openings, allowing access for the installation tool.
- Recess depth C
- Check the head position relative to the curved rubber face. Include rubber compression in the clearance review.
02 / INSTALLATION
Fix the flat back; keep metal below the contact face
Locate the contact path
Mark where the moving part will meet the curved surface and check that it will not strike the central opening.
Place against a flat backing
Support the broad flat rear face. Align the central passage with the prepared fixing point.
Seat the fixing head
Use the specified fastener and any approved insert or washer. Tighten without visibly collapsing or splitting the body.
Trial the full travel
Move the mating part slowly through its range. Confirm rubber contact and clearance to the fixing head under the expected compression.
