FIT & APPLICATION GUIDE

Keep the screw head inside the cylindrical recess

This straight-sided recessed foot provides a pocket around the fixing head. The useful clearance depends on both the selected hardware and the rubber height under load.

01 / BEFORE YOU CHOOSE

What to measure for this profile

OD and H
Check the available mounting area and the required foot height. Leave space for lateral expansion under compression.
A and B
A describes the small fixing passage; B describes the wider recess. Check the shank, head and any approved washer separately.
Recess depth C
Compare with the installed head stack. Preserve clearance between metal and the supporting surface.

02 / INSTALLATION

Fasten from the recessed face

The fixing head sits inside the lower recess. The surrounding rubber, rather than the head, contacts the support.
The fixing head sits inside the lower recess. The surrounding rubber, rather than the head, contacts the support. Schematic, not to scale; verify the selected part and assembly.
  1. Prepare the fixing point

Check the equipment base and thread or nut arrangement. Remove burrs around the mounting hole.

  2. Orient the recess outward

Place the flat mounting face against the equipment so the wider opening remains accessible from below.

  3. Install the specified hardware

Seat the head within the recess. Use an insert or washer only where specified for the chosen part.

  4. Load and inspect

Check that the rubber contact ring supports the assembly while the head remains clear of the surface. Inspect for rocking and loosening.

03 / USE & CHECK

Where to use this profile

Flat enclosure bases

Review a recessed foot where a straight cylindrical outline suits the available space.

Replaceable equipment feet

Leave access to the recess so the fixing can be checked or removed during servicing.
