FIT & APPLICATION GUIDE

Place the dome where the moving part actually meets it

The flat circular base bonds to the substrate while the rounded dome makes contact. The contact patch changes as the dome compresses, so check the intended closing path.

01 / BEFORE YOU CHOOSE

What to measure for this profile

Base diameter OD
Check that the full adhesive circle fits on a flat mounting area.
Unloaded height H
Compare the dome height with the door or cover gap. Confirm the compressed position on a sample.
Contact position
Mark where the opposing surface meets the dome. An off-center strike can push sideways on the bond.

02 / INSTALLATION

Align the dome with the closing path

The flat base bonds to a frame; the moving panel approaches the rounded dome. The contact patch is smaller than the bond footprint.
The flat base bonds to a frame; the moving panel approaches the rounded dome. The contact patch is smaller than the bond footprint. Schematic, not to scale; verify the selected part and assembly.
  1. Trial the location with the liner on

Move the door or cover slowly and identify its contact point. Avoid placing the dome on a hinge sweep or sharp edge.

  2. Prepare the bonding circle

Clean and dry the mounting surface according to the selected adhesive instructions.

  3. Attach the flat base

Remove the liner and apply pressure as required by the backing supplier while supporting the substrate.

  4. Check closure after bonding

Wait the specified bond time, then verify closing gap, latch operation and edge lift during repeated trial cycles.

03 / USE & CHECK

Where to use this profile

Cabinet and enclosure stops

Locate a dome where a moving panel needs a rubber contact point without a drilled fixing.

Small contact clearances

Evaluate the compressed dome height; OD and unloaded H do not determine the final closing gap alone.

For a selection review: OD and H, closing gap, contact path, panel finish and expected cycle frequency. Send your application details →
