FIT & APPLICATION GUIDE

Check the chair leg and the floor-facing base

This short round chair foot fits around a leg end. The internal opening controls the fit, while the wider outer body and underside determine clearance and floor contact.

01 / BEFORE YOU CHOOSE

What to measure for this profile

Opening B
Compare with the round leg OD. Outside rim A is a clearance dimension and should not be used as the fitting diameter.
Base C
Check the underside width against nearby legs or frame members. Inspect the actual contact pattern on a sample.
Cavity depth D
Measure how far the leg can enter. Note angled cuts or splayed legs that could load one edge of the foot.

02 / INSTALLATION

Seat the cup, then check the chair stance

A round leg sits inside the short cup. Inspect the floor-facing base with the chair in its working position.
A round leg sits inside the short cup. Inspect the floor-facing base with the chair in its working position. Schematic, not to scale; verify the selected part and assembly.
  1. Check the leg cut

Clean the end and remove burrs. Record any angle rather than assuming a flat cut.

  2. Fit the round cavity

Press the foot evenly around the leg until seated. Keep the mouth from rolling inward.

  3. Check all contact points

Stand the chair upright and check whether each foot contacts the floor. An angled leg may need a different profile.

  4. Trial normal movement

Check grip, floor marking and pull-off during repositioning. Inspect trapped grit during routine cleaning.

03 / USE & CHECK

Where to use this profile

Round chair legs

Review the opening and cavity depth together when replacing an existing cup-style foot.

Splayed furniture legs

Test the actual leg angle; a nominal diameter match does not guarantee even floor contact.
