Rubber Mounting Pad

Whenever you need to secure or securely mount a piece of machinery that is vibrating quite a lot, you can’t just do it on a regular, sturdy surface like concrete or metal. You need something to place the machine on instead of just mounting it onto the surface. You need a mounting pad. Now, mounting pads come in various types, shapes and sizes, but if you really want to make the most out of it and absorb as much vibration as possible, you will have to go with a rubber mounting pad.

Rubber is not only a very affordable material for manufacturing these pads, but it is also the most suitable one for many different reasons. For starters, a rubber mounting pad will do a much better job at isolating movement and absorbing vibrations than any other material. Some may use foam mounting pads, but those are not as nearly as durable as rubber mounting pads. A rubber mounting pad will last you a really long time, which is something that is quite important when you are mounting something in place. For instance, you do not want to move the generator around once you have mounted it in one place, so durability is a major factor.

A rubber mounting pad can be of various shapes, sizes, thicknesses and even textures. As for shapes, you can find mounting pads as small as 50 x 50 mm, and as large as 500 x 500 mm, if not even larger. As far as thickness is concerned, they can be as thin as 6 or 7 mm and as thick as 20 mm or more.
